Dear Neighbours,

October 13, 2011

I feel fortunate to have been raised in Salmon Arm and I welcome this opportunity to make a contribution to our city.

We enter this election at a crucial point in our growth. We are attracting the attention of large businesses such as Smart Centre and special events like Sturgis North while trying to preserve the natural beauty and unique lifestyle of our area.

Such challenges will occur more often as tourists and businesses increasingly discover our unique qualities.

I will bring an open, collaborative and reasoned approach to these issues as I have an interest in seeing our community thrive while maintaining our responsibility to the environment.

I am not afraid to ask questions, to challenge the status quo and to assert my opinion once I have fully researched the issues.

I look forward to serving Salmon Arm by listening to its citizens and hearing their ideas for an economically and environmentally vibrant future.

While chatting with local folks I have been pleasantly surprised to hear that most are interested in what we have learned from some of the difficult decisions made for our city during the current electoral term.  I think this is the key to continual growth and how we apply these findings will be what shapes our future.

The future is ahead, prepare for it.
The present is here, live it.”
